Naples is renowned for its captivating blend of old-world charm and raw, urban energy. As you near the Bay of Naples, you’re greeted by breathtaking panoramic views of the sea, with the majestic Mount Vesuvius looming in the distance.
Herculaneum, together with Pompeii is part of the UNESCO World Heritage site and perfect testimony of life in a typical Roman city.
Sorrento is perched on a high cliff overlooking the sea, at the centre of its peninsula, embracing the Gulf of Naples, Vesuvius and has Ischia and Procida on the horizon. All around, the green gardens of the villas and citrus groves; in the centre alleyways and squares full of historic buildings. At its feet are the beaches of Marina Piccola and Marina Grande and the ports.
The Amalfi Coast is the most scenic drives in the world. The town of Amalfi is Italy's oldest maritime republic, once serving as a big commercial and technical hub in the Mediterranean. The Amalfi Coast is also home to one of the oldest pastas in the world and fine Italian dining, a mecca for foodies. Nestled by the Bay of Naples, with Mount Vesuvius looming nearby, it’s a place where ancient history meets modern life. Renowned for its art, architecture, and world-famous pizza, Naples is the soulful heart of the Italian south.

Day 2 | Naples
A chaotic masterpiece of art and life

Guided walking tour of the historic center of Naples: including Piazza del Plebiscito, the Royal Palace, and the stunning Galleria Umberto I, Spaccanapoli, the narrow street cutting through the old city. Visit the Sansevero Chapel Museum to see the Veiled Christ. Explore the Naples Cathedral (Duomo) and its famous Treasure of San Gennaro.
In the afternoon private guided visit the Castel Sant’Elmo and enjoy a panoramic view of the city.
Kid-friendly activity: interactive Volcano Workshop at the Museo di Capodimonte where children learn about Mount Vesuvius.

Day 3 | Pompeii, Herculaneum

Transfer to visit Pompeii, exploring the ancient city buried by Mount Vesuvius in AD 79, visit the Forum, Amphitheater, and the House of the Vettii. Experience a live reenactment of Roman daily life.
Kid-friendly activity: Pompeii scavenger hunt to discover ancient artifacts.
In the afternoon visit Herculaneum, a smaller but better-preserved Roman town. See the Villa of the Papyri and the Thermopolium (ancient fast-food spot).

Day 4 | Amalfi Coast

Transfer from Sorrento to Amalfi, a picturesque coastal town in southern Italy, renowned for its stunning cliffs, colorful Mediterranean architecture, and rich maritime history. Once a powerful maritime republic, today it enchants visitors with its charming streets, historic cathedral, and breathtaking sea views. As the heart of the Amalfi Coast, it embodies the region’s vibrant beauty and cultural heritage.
Upon arrival guided walking tour of Amalfi: visit the Cathedral of Sant’Andrea and the charming Piazza del Duomo.
Kid-friendly activity: gelato-making workshop to learn how to make Italian ice cream at a local gelateria.
In the afternoon continue the exploration of this enchanting city by strolling through the colorful streets and relax on Spiaggia Grande.

Day 5 | Paestum, Matera

Transfer from Sorrento to Paestum for the guided tour exploring the ancient Greek Temples dedicated to Hera and Athena. Paestum is an ancient Greek city in southern Italy, renowned for its remarkably well-preserved Doric temples dating back to around 600–450 BC. A UNESCO World Heritage site, Paestum offers a fascinating glimpse into Italy’s ancient past.
Visit the Archaeological Museum with ancient pottery and frescoes.
Kid-friendly activity: mythology storytime, tales of ancient gods of the Greek mythology while exploring the ruins.
Transfer to Matera and evening stroll through the Sassi cave dwellings.

Day 6 | Matera

Guided walking tour of the Sassi di Matera, exploring cave churches and ancient homes. Visit Sassi Caveoso and Sassi Barisano, rock churches: admire the frescoes of Santa Maria de Idris. The Sassi di Matera are ancient cave dwellings carved into the limestone hills of Matera, Italy. These UNESCO World Heritage sites showcase a unique blend of natural and human-made architecture, with homes, churches, and alleyways etched into the rock. Once seen as symbols of poverty, the Sassi are now celebrated for their historical significance and stunning beauty.

In the afternoon continue the visit to the Palombaro Lungo (underground cistern) and Casa Grotta to see a reconstructed cave dwelling.

Day 7 | Gravina, Altamura

Transfer from Matera to Gravina for the Underground tour, exploring tunnels and the ancient bridge and visiting the Gravina underground caves and Roman bridge.
Then continue to Altamura and visit a bakery watching how the famous Altamura bread is made. Explore Altamura’s historic center and sample local bread. Altamura bread, or "Pane di Altamura", is a traditional loaf from Puglia, known for its golden crust, soft crumb, and rich flavor. Made from local durum wheat and baked in wood-fired ovens, it holds DOP status as a symbol of regional heritage.

Day 8 | Masseria experience

Transfer Martina Franca for the visit to a traditional Masseria (farm), including a Cheese-making experience: learn how to make burrata and mozzarella and farm tour: meet animals and learn about rural life.
A Masseria is a traditional farmhouse typically found in the southern regions of Italy, especially Puglia. These historic estates, often surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, feature rustic stone architecture, vaulted ceilings, and expansive courtyards. Once working farms, many of them have been transformed into charming countryside retreats, offering a taste of authentic Italian heritage.

Day 9 | Grotte di Castellana
A journey into the heart of the earth

Transfer from Alberobello for a safari to the Zoo Fasano seeing native and exotic animals: spot lions, zebras, and giraffes from the comfort of the vehicle.
In the afternoon explore the spectacular Grotte di Castellana, Italy’s most famous karst caves and iscover the underground wonders of Castellana with a guided walk. The Grotte di Castellana is one of the largest cave systems in Italy, stretching for over two miles. The underground tunnels are a natural marvel with stunning geological formations illuminated in a rainbow of hues as the sun moves through the sky.

At the appropriate time, transfer to Naples airport for your flight back to home.
